Because no guidebook, forum, or travel blog can match real, honest, and up-to-date advice from someone who knows the destination intimately and puts your interests first. Just one consultation with a Local Advisor will save you hours of pre-trip angst and research time and give you all the confidence you need to hit the ground running.

Destination Deep Dive: A 30-minute consultation that’s ideal for planning your trip in minutes versus hours.

Destination Wedding & Honeymoon Planning: 45 minutes of local advice on the where, what, and how. Ideal for the couple who envisions something special for their big day.

Cruise Day Trip Itinerary Planning: 30-minute consultation to get a custom day trip plan designed just for you. Ideal for travelers who want to make every moment count at their next port of call.

Custom Trip Planning: 60-minute session that helps you build a truly bespoke trip. Perfect for multi-destination itineraries.

Pick your preferred consultation format on any Advisor’s page.

1. Note your preferred date(s) and time(s) for a consultation when you ‘check out.’

2. Identify whether you want to have the consultation over Video or WhatsApp chat.

3. Once booked, a SoloTrvlr team member will reach out to coordinate with your chosen Advisor, using your preferred dates and times to sync with her availabilities.

4. We’ll send you and your Advisor a calendar invite once confirmed.

Once you’ve booked a consultation, you’ll receive a brief pre-call questionnaire to spark ideas and capture key trip logistics, questions, and goals.

Once complete, we'll pass your answers to your Local Advisor to help her prepare for your consultation. 

If you’ve chosen to do a consultation over WhatsApp and your privacy settings block group chat invites from unknown numbers, you'll need to save our number (+44 7457 411378) to your WhatsApp contacts or accept our invite via WhatsApp DM.

If you’ve chosen a video call, just click [Join with Google Meet] button in the meeting invite.

Once you’ve joined your consultation, it’s all about you—ask questions, get advice, and discuss whatever you need for your trip. There’s no set structure; the session is completely collaborative and tailored to your travel plans and interests.

Advisor consultations happen in a private 1:1 WhatsApp chat or Video call, facilitated by SoloTrvlr.

If you’ve chosen a Video consultation, click the [Join the Google Meet] button in your calendar invite at the time of the call.

If you’ve chosen WhatsApp, you’ll be added to a group chat by our SoloTrvlr number (+44 7457 411378) up to five days before your scheduled consultation.*

Your Local Advisor will join the WhatsApp chat or video call at the scheduled time, ready to help.

Once your time is up, your meeting will end. Within 48 hours, you’ll receive personalized recap notes covering all the intel and recommendations from your session, plus a few extra tips from your Local Advisor.

Need more time? Just DM us on WhatsApp and we’ll help you book additional time.

All consultation times are displayed in your local time zone, even if an Advisor lives in a different country from you. 

You can ask anything travel-related, from whether (and where) it’s safe to walk alone at night to logistics like how to get into town from the airport or get around between destinations. Need dining advice? Your Local Advisor will share her go-to neighborhood spots and steer you to a hyper-local Italian cooking class taught by a beloved nonna. She’ll also be quick to jump in and let you know if something you’re considering doing is overrated—and tell you what to do instead.

We understand plans change—but Advisors often spend time preparing for their Consultations in advance. 

As such, our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

• You may cancel a Consultation up to 7 days before the scheduled time for a full refund.

• You may request to reschedule a Consultation up to 48 hours before the scheduled time.

• If no mutual reschedule time can be found, a full refund will be issued.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled time are not eligible for a refund.

If your Advisor is more than 5 minutes late, or if there is a technical issue on our side, we’ll reschedule or extend your session. We do not issue refunds or time extensions for lateness or no-shows on your part.

Your Local Advisor receives the majority—75%—of the fee. The rest helps fund SoloTrvlr’s all-woman team behind the scenes. Since we only make money when our Local Advisors do, we’re focused on quality and your experience, not advertising or metrics like “pageviews.”
