I grew up in Sibsagar, a small town in Northeast India. I’m the oldest of three and spent my childhood reading, painting, and dancing. Books were my way of exploring the world back the—and now I’m living that dream through real-life travel!

One of my all-time favorite solo travel memories is my unforgettable trip to Iceland. I explored the south, west, and even the remote north of the country all on my own. What made it extra special? I did it without renting a car! With a mix of domestic flights, organized tours, and transfers, I was able to experience Iceland’s dramatic landscapes, charming towns, and otherworldly beauty — completely solo and on my terms. From black sand beaches and powerful waterfalls to lava fields and glaciers, every day felt like stepping into a dream. But what I’m most proud of? Visiting four different geothermal spas alone—and loving every moment of it. There’s something magical about soaking in warm, healing waters surrounded by nature, especially when you’re solo and fully present. This trip reminded me just how empowering solo travel can be. I felt brave, free, and deeply connected to the landscapes and people around me.

Is rooted in curiosity, connection, and culture. I’ve always been drawn to cities and charming towns, where every street corner has a story and every building whispers a bit of history. I love immersing myself in the local rhythm, whether that means wandering through historic neighborhoods, visiting museums, or joining a walking tour with a local guide who brings the past to life. You’ll often find me with my camera in hand, capturing street scenes, vibrant colors, quiet corners, and anything that feels uniquely local. Photography is how I connect deeper with a place and preserve memories that go beyond the typical postcard view. Food is also a big part of how I travel. I love sampling regional specialties, whether it’s from a cozy family-run restaurant or a street-side vendor.

You can ask anything travel-related, from whether (and where) it’s safe to walk alone at night to practicalities like where to buy tampons (and how to ask for them!) Need dining advice? Your Local Advisor will share her go-to neighborhood spots and steer you to a hyper-local Italian cooking class taught by a beloved nonna. She’ll also be quick to jump in and let you know if something you’re considering doing is overrated—and tell you what to do instead.
